Sand Springs, Oklahoma
We remember and honor Albert "Buzz" Mock Jr., who passed on April 17, 2026. Buzz, born on September 9, 1935, was a man of robust character, a kind soul known for his profound simplicity, and a beacon of light for his family.
Buzz was a proud veteran of the Air Force, where he served in The Korea War as a medic. After his service, he continued to work diligently as the owner of Mock Brothers Saddlery, pouring his heart and soul into every day. Yet, despite his commitments, he always found time for his beloved pastime - fishing at the lake house. The joy he found in casting his line into the water, waiting patiently for a bite, mirrored his approach to life; steady, patient, and filled with hope. Buzz was a charter member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Sand Springs. He served in every capacity he could from president of church council to custodian.
Buzz is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jody Sherwood, and Saundra Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Mock, and three sons, Bret, Greg, and Jason Mock. He also leaves behind a daughter, Jamie Harrison and her husband, Thomas Harrison, Sister, Lucille Bean, brother, Richard Mock, brother, David Mock, and stepson, Sean McClanahan. Albert's legacy also includes his seven grandchildren: Ethan and Daniel Mock, Cooper and Jaslynn Mock, Shane Harrison, Aiden McClanahan, and Ricky Hartman, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. His absence is a silent grief, his life a beautiful memory.
Buzz's story does not end here, for he lives on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him. We invite you to share your memories, stories, and photographs on Albert's memorial page. Let us remember and celebrate Albert "Buzz" Mock Jr., a simple man with an extraordinary life.
