Betty Lois Holden, a compassionate soul with an unwavering spirit, passed away on September 3, 2023. Born in Ringling, Oklahoma on June 30, 1926, she was a beacon of love and strength who left an indelible mark on everyone's heart she touched. With her loving and caring nature, she was a homemaker par excellence, creating a home filled with warmth and affection. A woman of old-world charm and traditional values, Betty had a zest for life and a knack for making every ordinary moment extraordinary. As Leo Buscaglia had once said, "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." Betty, with her caring nature, turned many lives around, one small gesture at a time.
Betty's life was filled with resilience and grace. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker, who spent her days cooking, sewing, baking, and gardening - activities that brought her immense joy and satisfaction. From Loco to Sand Springs, Oklahoma, she created homes that were a haven of comfort and joy. She was longtime resident of Berryhill until 1990. She also attended View Acres Baptist Church. Her home was her kingdom, and she ruled it with love, compassion, and an iron will that made her a formidable presence. Known for her forthrightness, Betty was a woman who stood her ground, and as an avid supporter of Trump, she was not one to shy away from expressing her political views. In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, "Do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized anyway," Betty lived by this ethos, fearless and spirited, always standing up for what she believed in.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Diane Mathey and husband Bob; her grandsons Mark Holden and wife Stacey, Tracy Fuson and husband Mike, Chad Inhofe and wife April, Timothy Holden and wife Tiffany and Jeffrey Holden. She was Aunt B.L. to numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Effie Watson, Husband, Clarence Holden, Son, Ronald Allen Holden, Grandson, Jared Inhofe and great grandchild, Addison Inhofe.
