Bobby Vail

–

Sand Springs, Oklahoma

Robert Reed "Bobby" Vail, of Tulsa, passed from this life on February 13, 2023 in the comfort of his home. He passed as a great man, loving husband, brother, uncle, grumpy, great grumpy and friend.

Bobby was born November 13, 1947 to Robert Winston and Norma Sue Holland Vail in Atoka, Oklahoma. As Bobby grew up, he was lucky to be surrounded by family and friends playing cowboy and cops/robbers, and that never changed. He was an avid fisherman who left many fish with a sore mouth. As an adult Bobby fulfilled his childhood dreams by becoming a fireman, police officer and even continued wearing his cowboy gear through the years. Many even dubbed him as the "Marlboro Man". Bobby loved his years with Tulsa County Sheriff's office and Tulsa District Attorney's office.

Bobby was blessed to have been married to his best friend and love of his life Janice Ann for 43 years. Together they shared a blended family which led to 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Bobby is survived by his wife Janice, daughter Leslie Rosales and husband David of Broken Arrow, son John Vail and wife Clarinda of Tusayan AZ, daughter Teni Stimson and husband Jason of Pryor, and daughter Andrea Pennell and husband Kris of Pryor. Grandchildren: Christopher, Ryan, & Seth Rosales, Bonnie & Chrystal Vail, Jayce, Leah, Nicole & Natalie Stimson, and Aryssa Pennell. Great granddaughter Alexis Rosales. Brother-In-Law Barry White and wife Christine of Daytona FL. Cousins: Jerry Dillon and wife Denise, Danielle Westmoreland and Pat, as well as the rest of the Dillon clan and many other cousins.

Bobby was a real character. Between his great stories and his great sense of humor you couldn't leave the room without a smile on your face. He had a special way of letting everyone know they were number one.
