Charles "Tad" Clonts Higgins, Jr. Obituary (1939

Charles Clonts Higgins Jr. "Tad" was born on July 7, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma (Bruner Hill) to Charles Clonts Higgins Sr. and Florence M. Higgins. Surrounded by his family, he went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 2, 2022 in Tulsa. He graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1957. He married Joyce V. Dodson on June 2, 1962, in Miami, OK. He served in the US Army and later worked on the Apollo Missions with Boeing. He worked for Pepsi as an electrician and fostered a love for Pepsi Cola in all his family. After retiring from Pepsi, he worked for Wiley Davis Electric Inc. He enjoyed mentoring church youth as well as coaching the Challengers softball team. However, his greatest treasure in life was his family. He loved history, fishing, golfing, and the Oklahoma Sooners. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Pam Edge, nephew Steve Higgins and grandchildren Bobby, Cheryl and Blake. He is survived by his wife Joyce Higgins, brother Alan (Spud) and wife Snookie Higgins and his sister Sue Ahrendt, his three daughters Debra and husband Richard Read, Cheryl and husband Sam Childers, and Lisa and husband Mike O'Neal. He is also survived by grandchildren Alisa and husband Tyson Hiner and children Annie and Otto; Amber and husband Jeff Kubiak and children Emily, Lilly, and Ben; Derik and wife Leah Kline and children Jasmyn, Caroline, Myra and Simon; John and wife Courtney Read and children Kylie, Morgan, and Jacob; Brandi Kline and children Bobby and Damian; Katie and husband Mitch Little and children Carson and Knox; Brandon and wife Alyssa and children Cooper and Callie, Frank and wife Savannah Whitlock and baby Charles; and Nikki Whitlock. No words can describe how much he will be missed. His legacy will live on in the lives of those he loved.
