Chris Jones

Chris Jones, 46 of Sand Springs, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in a Tulsa hospital. He was born July 29, 1970 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a son of Jay Lee Jones and Regina Diane Rash. Chris worked as a floor covering mechanic for many years and has resided in the Tulsa Metro area all of his life.

Chris was an avid fisherman and really enjoyed spending time outdoors doing various things, including camping and looking for arrowheads. He lived on the riverbed so he spent a lot of time on the river as well as riding his ATV on the riverbed. Chris loved going to the lake and spending time with his friends and family. Chris was one that loved to help people too, in fact you may catch him helping a friend or family member move or even cut their grass among other things if they needed him to.

Chris is survived by his father, Jay Jones and wife Pam of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; his mother, Regina Rash and husband Paul of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; his son, Christopher Jones of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two daughters, Courtney and Summer Jones of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one sister, Jennifer Leann Harger and husband Darran of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two step-brothers, Josh Hinton of Houston, Texas and Shon Rash of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one step-sister, Amanda Cook and husband Tyler of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Vegas and Dottie Goad and his two grandfathers, Wallace Jones and James Lumsden.

Viewing will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cleveland, Sand Springs, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home's Legacy Chapel, 1200 N. Cleveland, Sand Springs, Oklahoma 74063.
