Donald Thompson

Donald Ray Thompson, age 71 of Sand Springs passed from this life on Monday, December 24, 2012 at home. Donald was born on May 8, 1941 in Tulsa to Loren ?Pete? Jackson and Ruth (Smith) Thompson. He attended school at Central High School and married Gloria Morgan on August 13, 1963 in Tulsa. Donald worked for Wheatley Gaso in Tulsa as a Machinist for more than 35 years. He loved football, Oklahoma Sooner Football, softball, car racing and especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He is survived by his wife Gloria Thompson of the home, a son Donnie Thompson Jr, of Sand Springs, a daughter Donna Pugh and husband Billy Pugh of Collinsville, a brother Lonnie Thompson and wife Dana of Tulsa, two sisters Katherine Handley and husband Monty of Tulsa and Sherry McClain of Cleveland, two grandchildren Jeff Thompson and wife Sylvia of Sapulpa and Meghan Edwards and husband Daniel of Sand Springs, Amanda Ragsdale and husband Monty of Catoosa and Allen Pugh and wife Jessica of Owasso. Also surviving Donald are eight great-grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Shelley Jane Thompson, four sisters Linda Couch, Mary Minton, Delpha Lewis and Traveline Rainwater.
