Elmer Henry Battenfield

Elmer H. Battenfield, age 79, went to Heaven on July 27, 2013 in the comfort of his home with his wife and children by his bedside.

Elmer was born to Charles Esker and Mae Battenfield on November 27, 1933. The youngest of six siblings four brothers, George, Gene, James and LeRoy and a sister Pauline. Who all preceded him to heaven. He was born and raised in Sand Springs. A devoted husband, dad & grandpa.
He is survived by his wife Ella "Pug" of 60 blessed years. His beloved children Vicki Clarke & Matt, Sheila Keys & Ron and Mark Battenfield and wife Jan. Also surviving Elmer are five grandchildren; Kristi Dover, Angela Lauder, Sarah Grigsby, Daniel Donalson, Brock Battenfield and four great-grandchildren. A very special sister-in-law; Juno and an angel that help take care of him Tracy.

Elmer was a member of the first Assembly of God for thirty-five years and an usher for many years. He was employed by National Tank for twenty-eight years. His hobby was tinkering with model A's and a member of the Tulsa Model A Ford Club. Elmer was also a very proud Army veteran of the Korean War.
