Geraldine "Jerry" Hurt

Geraldine "Jerry" Hurt, age 70 of Sand Springs, passed from this life on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at her family's home in Tulsa.

Jerry was born on March 27, 1944 in Lima, Ohio to Virgil and Fairy "Preston" Thomas. She attended school in Lima and the family came to Tulsa were Jerry married James Hurt on April 3, 1962. Jerry worked at Liberty Glass Company in Sapulpa and later the Mannford Nursing Home in The house Keeping Department. Jerry also helped drive a semi-tractor trailer on the open road with her husband.

She is survived by her son; James Hurt Jr. and wife Lucille of Tulsa, daughter; Marilyn Lynn Hurt and husband Jerry Adams of Tulsa, brother; James Spicer of Texas, sister; Doris Hunt and husband frank of Tulsa, six grandchildren; Michael Dudley, Angelica Dudley, Amanda Bennett, Sarah Dudley, James Allen Michael Jr. and Veta Kay Maynard, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, son; Johnny Lee Hurt, daughter; Sherri Hurt and brother Bob Thomas.
