Gilbert "Gil" Quigley, 55 of Sand Springs, Oklahoma passed away suddenly in an accident on Friday, July 6, 2018 in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Gil was born November 14, 1962 in Plymouth, North Carolina, a son of Gilbert Mason Quigley, Sr. and Wilma Jo Bell. \r\n\r\nGil served in the United States Army where he was honorable discharged and was a truck driver for Smithey Environmental of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a member of Harvest Church in Sand Springs where he was an usher and served on the prayer team. \r\n\r\nGil loved to spend time on his pontoon boat with a rod and reel in his hand and family and friends along for the ride. If you knew Gil very well, you would also know that he loved to collect rods and reels and other fishing gear. Gil loved to hunt and was always searching after that "Big Buck". He loved camping at Riversedge Campground in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and he loved spending time with family and would do anything for any one of them, especially his two granddaughters, Malorie and Skylar. Gil was a very special man and he was never one to complain but was always one to do things that would put a smile on your face.\r\n\r\nGil is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Revonda Parker Quigley of the home; two sons, Alex Quigley of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Chad Revels and wife Cheryl of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sisters, Tiffanie Respess and husband Dennis of Plymouth, North Carolina and Sherry Lumbard and husband Matthew of Mechanicsville, Virginia; two granddaughters, Malorie and Skylar Revels of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; mother, Jo Williams and step-father, Alton Williams of Jacksonville, North Carolina; father, Gil Quigley, Sr. of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and a host of friends and extended family.\r\n\r\nGil was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorris A. and Lina Bell and H.G. and Annliza Quigley.\r\n\r\nViewing will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 3pm - 7pm at Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home with family to receive friends between 5pm and 7pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Harvest Church, 1601 W 4th St, Sand Springs, OK 74063 with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Harvest Church Building Fund, 1601 W 4th St, Sand Springs, OK 74063.\r\n\r\nServices are under the direction of Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home, 1200 North Cleveland Avenue, Sand Springs, Oklahoma 74063.
