Gloria McCurdy

Gloria Lynn McCurdy passed away on September 3, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born July 9, 1944 in Abilene, TX. Gloria led her life as a follower of Christ and often spent her time helping others through much volunteering. A few of the places she enjoyed volunteering were Dressed for Success, Runway Tulsa, Methodist Manor, and Overcoming Job Transition Tulsa. Human resources is where Gloria spent most of her successful career and met many friends and colleagues over the years. After retirement she spent several years living in Rockport, TX where she was able to enjoy the beach that she loved so much. There she collected many beloved seashells and always loved sharing them with friends and family. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Fred Coleman McCurdy, Janey "Kay" Catherin McCurdy, as well as extended family Viola Frances Bemore Pidgeon, David Tiger Pidgeon, and David Joe and Deana Pidgeon. Gloria is survived by her additional extended family Josh and Samantha Krawczyk, Matthew and Samantha Krawczyk, Jarrett and Jennie Miller, Stacy Terall Pidgeon, Jamie Jackson, Tiger Pidgeon, and Debbie and Victor Yoder. Gloria loved her cats as much as anyone, and lived a life full of friends and family. She enjoyed time spent living across the United States including Tulsa, Omaha, Dallas, Portland, and Rockport. Gloria attended Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa, OK and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK.
A Celebration of Life will be Monday, September 11, at 10:00 am in the chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK 74715
