Gregory Dean Byford, 30 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017. \r\nArrangements have been entrusted to the care of Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home's Legacy Chapel. Interment will follow at Blackburn Cemetery in Blackburn, Oklahoma. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home.\r\nGregory was born on December 30, 1986 to Robert Byford and Janice Ballenger Byford in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Tulsa, Sapulpa and Sand Springs area. He graduated from Charles Page High School and worked for Taco Bueno in Sand Springs while attending High School and shortly after graduating in 2005. He then went on to work in Sapulpa, for Walmart a couple years and decided to transfer to the Walmart in Sand Springs closer to where he was living at the time.\r\nGregory and his brother Jimmy had recently got their own apartment together. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going out to eat, to the movies and running around in his truck. Gregory had one niece, Kailey, he would have done anything for. When he was around her they were always doing something. He would even play hide n seek with her in the house. Even though he was to tall to really hide anywhere from her.\r\nGregory is survived by his mother, Janice Byford of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother, James "Jimmy" Byford of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sister, Katelin (Katie) Byford and her daughter Kailey Lawrence, his niece of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandmother, Corinne Malone of Inola, Oklahoma; uncle Rick Ballenger and wife Janice; aunt Tonya Grensky and husband Ed. As well as lots of cousins and friends.\r\nHe was proceeded in death by his father, Robert Byford; sister, Kelli Byford; paternal grandparents; (E.J) Edward Joseph Byford and Mary (Laverne) Byford; maternal grandfather, Charles Dean Ballenger and maternal step-grandfather (B.J) Bobby James Malone.
