Janice Frevele

–

Sapulpa, Oklahoma

We gather to celebrate the life of Janice Marie Frevele, a beloved mother, music enthusiast, and steadfast educator. Born in Trezevant, Tennessee, on September 28, 1938, Janice was a ray of light in this world until her passing on August 3, 2025. As Helen Keller once said, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all," and Janice embodied this spirit throughout her 86 years, living a life filled with music and adventure.

Janice was a vibrant woman who loved to sing and travel. Her passion for music was evident throughout her life as she earned a Master's degree in music education and utilized her talent to inspire the next generation. Janice served as a secretary at the Sand Springs Museum and was a proud member of the choir at the First Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her travels with the Singing Church Women of Oklahoma took her to Romania, where she shared her gift of song and her vibrant spirit with a global audience. Janice was cheerful and friendly and never met a stranger. She will always be remembered for her smile

Janice's life was marked not only by her professional achievements but also by the love and warmth she brought to her personal relationships. She loved being a mother most of all.

Janice was the beloved widow of Chuck Frevele and is survived by their son, Anthony Frevele; nephews, Randall Brewer and Phillip Brewer as well as several great nieces and nephews. Her parents, Virgil and Stella Clement and sister, Alice Ernest preceded her in death.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 PM CDT at Dillon Funeral Service, located at 1200 North Cleveland Avenue, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, 74063. Her graveside service will follow on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM CDT at South Heights Cemetery, located at 1815 South Ridgeway Street, Sapulpa, Oklahoma, 74066.
