John Thomas, Jr., of Sand Springs, passed from this life on Thursday, June 9, 2011 in Sand Springs. He was born on March 25, 1926 to John Thomas Sr. and Lody (Dodson). John lived a very full and happy life and went to heaven at 85. He and Bonnie or as John called her ?Bon? loved to travel. Through his lawn mower business, they were able to travel throughout the U.S. John loved to listen to music, religious and country were his favorite, especially Betty?s music. John loved his family with all his heart. He was so devoted to his mom and dad. His son John and wife Lynn and all three grandsons were so very precious to him. Sue and A.J. Dodson and sister Jackie where very close to his heart. Along with his many nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved his wife Bonnie ?Bon?of 35 years so very much and always wanted the very best for her. Scooter his friend was always the apple of his eye. John was a true American, always discussing politics with Gary and Terry. He was a man who truly cared about his country. Angie, Harold and Ethel were friends and neighbors, he truly cared about and they also cared so much for him as well as many, many others. Gary, Terry, Linda and family were his step-children and truly loved John. Along with all the grandkids and great-grandkids. John, we all love you very much and we will see you in heaven. Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, 10:00 a.m., June, 13, 2011 at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery with Tyler Pilkington his great-grandson officiating.
