Joseph Leon Fanning

Joseph "Leon" Fanning, age 59 of Sand Springs passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at his home.

Leon was born on September 28, 1954 in Tulsa to Joseph lee and Helen Irene (Weaver) Fanning. He graduated from Charles Page High School in 1972 and attended Tulsa Community College and receiving his associates in Psychology. Leon worked for American Airlines as an Airframe Mechanic Power plant (AMP).

He is survived by his son; Chris Fanning of Sand Springs, a daughter; Candace McCaffery and husband Arron of Sand Springs, mother; Helen Lancaster of Sand Springs, two sisters; Susan Harden and husband Gary of Sand Springs and Jackie Fanning of Tulsa, two grandchildren; Shelby McCaffery of Sand Springs and Morgan Anderson of Broken Arrow.

Leon is preceded in death by his father Joseph Lee Fanning, a son; Charles Fanning.
