Jytte Anny Lilly Hansen Clemons, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed from this life on Thursday, July 24th, 2025, at the remarkable age of 95. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on November 4, 1929, to Johannes and Lilli Hansen, Jytte's life was marked by love and family. She met the love of her life, Charles Clemons, while he was stationed in Iceland with the United States Army after World War II. After a whirlwind romance, she decided to move to the US, returning with him and marrying in New York City on January 3, 1949. Together, they built a life in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, choosing to be near Charles' family. Jytte embraced her role as a homemaker, dedicating herself to her loved ones. She lovingly raised her three children, Penny, Cathy, and Charlie, and played a significant role in raising her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. As the wife of the eldest son, she was a supportive sister, confidante, and friend to Charles' siblings, living next door to her in-laws and always surrounded by family. Easily recognizable by her signature bun, Jytte was a constant presence, cheering on her family at countless sporting events, school programs, and milestone celebrations. Her love shone through her creativity; she poured her heart into sewing clothes for her children and later crafting cherished quilts, crocheted dolls, and stuffed animals for her granddaughter and great-grandchildren, all made with unwavering love. She was always seeking ways to make life special for those she held dear. Jytte was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles, her daughter Penny Clemons, her parents Johannes and Lilli Hansen, and her in-laws, Elza and Gladys Clemons, as well as her sisters Inge, Helen, Lizzy, and Sonja. She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her daughter Cathy Krause; her son Charlie Clemons (Teresa); her granddaughter Melissa Owens (Keith); her great-granddaughter Madelyn Price; her great-grandson Andrew Price; and numerous other relatives who will forever remember her warmth and devotion.
