Kathleen McKenna was born in Queens, New York, on April 7, 1927, to Edward and Genevieve White. After graduating from high school, she attended Hunter College, where her sister Lorraine was also studying, and later graduated from the Katherine Gibbs School of Business. In 1950, \r\r\n\r\r\nShe married her beloved Alvin McKenna. Five years later, her son Bruce was born and she and Alvin raised him in Floral Park, New York, where they lived until 2012. Kathleen and Alvin moved from Floral Park to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to be with their family including her grandchildren Gregory and Rachel, grandson-in-law Robbie, and cherished great grand-daughter Irie.\r\r\nFor 30 years, Kathleen worked for the American Heart Association, serving in various capacities, including office manager. She retired from that position in 1998. \r\r\n\r\r\nKathleen's true love was her family and enjoyed spending time with them. The family, including her parents and sister, travelled together throughout the northeastern United States and Canada. She spent her summers with the family on the east end of Long Island where she enjoyed the ocean, "catching" waves, and walking on the beach while collecting sea shells. \r\r\nShe and Alvin were most proud of their nearly 64 years of marriage.\r\r\n\r\r\nKathleen is survived by her husband Alvin, her sister Lorraine, her son Bruce and daughter-in-law Catherine, granddaughter Rachel, grandson-in-law Robbie, grandson Gregory, and great grand-daughter Irie.
