Kristi Ann Cheatham Pool
August 2, 1960-October 28, 2025

Kristi was born on August 2, 1960 to John William Cheatham and Jackie Aileen Pickett Cheatham in Tulsa, OK.

She graduated from Charles Page High School in 1978, married Gary Paul Jones, and they had one son, Michael Shane Jones on November 14, 1980. Kristi attended beauty college but soon realized that her real calling was to be a professional rockhound. Kristi gathered "pretty arrowheads" (rocks) from everywhere she went-parking lots to beaches-it didn't matter. Kristi was the happiest when she lived in Locust Grove, up "on the mountain" among her many animals, her garden, and her friends. She liked nothing better than digging in the dirt, searching for ancient artifacts, putting her feet in the sand at the beach, and collecting seashells. She had given her mama a collection of her favorite seashells, only to repossess them over time, one by one. Leaving her mom with just a bowl of sand.

You knew Kristi was in the room by her laugh. And when she got together with her mom and her sister, Whitney, watch out. One of the sweetest and funniest things about Kristi was how gullible she was. The family had the best time making up stories that Kristi would believe. For example, Kristi wondered aloud if Forrest Gump was a true story.

Kristi had a special bond with her daddy, who called her his "Krispy Kritter".

Kristi gathered many friends around her, some lifelong, including Jamie, Pete (Pam), Karen, Cheryl, Cindy, and Julie. Kristi and her brother, Scott, born three years apart, were always close, but her twin sister, Whitney, born ten years later, was truly her best friend. Kristi and Whitney together were a force to be reckoned with. Whitney and Scott were both with Kristi until the end.

Kristi was preceded in death by her mother, Jackie, and her father, John Cheatham. She leaves behind her husband, Tim Tillman Pool, her son, Michael Shane Jones, her brother John "Scott" Cheatham and his wife, Anna, her sister, Whitney Aileen Taylor and her husband, Scott, and nieces and nephews, Beth Jones, Lacey Cheatham, Preston Cheatham, Gracen Taylor, Nikki Pipes, and Smokey Pipes.
