Larry D. Hobkirk, 77 of Sand Springs, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, March 12, 2017 in a Tulsa hospital. He was born October 2, 1939 in Kansas and raised by his grandparents, Rev. James and Grace Hobkirk.\r\r\nLarry loved the Lord, let there be no doubt that he left his earth shining in the full favor of our God. He was a simple man who loved simple things, but lived an extraordinary life. \r\r\nLarry had many hobbies over the years. He really enjoyed rebuilding and riding classic trials motorcycles. He had many friends from all over the United States, his "Bultaco Buddies". And man did he love to go fishing! He could out fish anyone. He wasn't the most patient man, but when it came to fishing, all day wasn't long enough. His favorite fishing partner was his son Jimmy who was also his best friend. \r\r\nAbove all, Larry loved his family, they were so close. He was the best father, husband, grandpa, brother, friend and uncle anyone could have ever asked for. There wasn't anything that he wouldn't do for anyone who needed him. The shirt off his back would be yours, all you had to do is ask.\r\r\nOur life on earth will be a little less bright without our precious Daddy. We were so grateful for the lifetime of beautiful memories that we will keep with us forever, until we meet again. As Daddy would say, "Catch you later on down the road."\r\r\nLarry was married to the love of his life, Sue Eubanks Hobkirk for 57 years who survives him. He is also survived by one son, Jimmy Hobkirk of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one daughter, Donna Richardson and husband Robert of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; adopted daughter, Annetta Roby and husband John of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; brother, Terry Miller and wife Leana of Kansas; sister Sherrie Ketring of Oregon; Grand-children, Kyle Walls, Brian Richardson, Mikel Richardson, and Trevor Richardson; great-grandchildren, Saxby Richardson and Mike Richardson; brother-in-law, Bill Eubanks and wife Pam of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Vernon Garrison of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
