Margie Schowengerdt

–

Tulsa, Oklahoma

Margie Charline Schowengerdt was born on November 6, 1960, in Amarillo, Texas, to Richard E. Lamb and Elizabeth Ann (Stevens) Lamb. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2026, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease.

Margie was united in marriage to Joe Edward Schowengerdt on March 24, 1979, at Tesca Baptist Church in Frederick, Oklahoma. Throughout the years, she worked a number of jobs, but her greatest joy was being a devoted wife and stay-at-home mother. Margie loved her family with all her heart. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and birdwatching.

One of Margie's favorite memories was traveling to Europe with America's Youth in Concert. She always enjoyed telling others, "I've been there," whenever a familiar destination came up in conversation. During that trip, she had the honor of singing in Notre Dame Cathedral. She also performed at Carnegie Hall, an experience she treasured throughout her life.

Margie faithfully served the Lord with all her heart at Vern Station Church of God in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She loved her church family dearly and was deeply grateful for the love, support, and kindness they showed her over the years. She could never say "thank you" enough for all they have done and for always being there for her.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Joe Schowengerdt, of the home; her daughter, Tina Harnden and husband Kelly of Tipton, Oklahoma; her son, Tadd Schowengerdt and wife Priscilla of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Christian Harnden and wife Shelby of Manitou, Oklahoma, and Payton Harnden of Tipton, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Rachel Fouts and husband Dalton of Albert, Oklahoma, and Erica Schowengerdt of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two great-granddaughters, Ozzie Jo Harnden and Korbyn Kay Harnden of Manitou, Oklahoma; two great-grandsons, Baylor Dewayne Fouts and Charles Kelly Fouts; one brother, Chris Lamb and wife Tana of Allen, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Elizabeth Lamb; her brother, Wesley Lamb and wife Tammy; her sister-in-law, Mary Jo Lamb; and her nephew, R.W. Lamb.
