Mazie was born on March 2, 1938, in the Kiamichi Mountains of Oklahoma to Earl and Jewel Goodman. On November 5, 1955, Mazie married the love of her life John Thomas ("JT") Horton. JT and Mazie made their home Prue, Oklahoma, where they had two sons. Anyone who met Mazie could not help but love her. She was very gullible, and her brothers (and sometimes her nieces and nephews too), who were jokesters, always seemed to take advantage of her vulnerability. However, it was always in good fun, and they always made her laugh. Mazie was the only girl in a family of four boys, she absolutely adored her brothers, and they adored her. Mazie loved everyone, especially the kids in the family. She spoiled her grandkids and great nieces and great nephews. Mazie was always taking one of the kids shopping or slipping them money almost every time she saw them. She had a very giving heart.\r\nMazie was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Jewel Goodman; husband, JT Horton; son Johnny Lee Horton; brothers Eugene Goodman and Paul Ray Goodman; niece Earlene Bramlett; and great nephew Chris Winker.\r\nMazie is survived by one son Tommy Lee Horton of Prue, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Lindsey Tolentino and husband Daniel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Kamber Horton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and three great grandchildren Amelia Tolentino, Alex Martinez and Dominik Martinez.
