Melody Lois Kinnamon, nee Oldham, 61, of Collinsville, OK, formally of McAlester passed away on Sunday, July 4th, 2021. \r\n\r\nMelody was born February 16th, 1960 in McAlester, OK to Lynda (Moore) Mason and Earon Oldham. Melody had a zest for life, an incredible sense of humor and never a lack of quick and witty retorts. She was the life of the party wherever she went, even if she had to start the party herself. Though her life was shorter than we would have hoped, she made sure it was full of adventure, experiences, love, laughter and above all else God. She loved her church family, she and her husband did prison ministry for many years and she led many people to the Lord, never judged them and helped them in any way she could as she has done for so many others in this world; she is greatly mourned by so many people all across the globe. Her love was boundless and pure for everyone she knew. She was able to make everyone feel so special, she didn't have just friends, everyone was her best friend. She will be so missed and this world has been less bright since her soul left it. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her husband, Steve, of the home; daughters Sara McDowell and husband Luke, Kinzi Carey and husband Russ all of McAlester, OK; son Andrew Loar and wife Tish of Broken Arrow, OK; stepchildren Tyler Charles and wife Marissa of Placerville, CA; Jack Lavelle and fiance Bianca of Kaneohe, HI on the island of Oahu; Justin Kinnamon of Owasso, OK; mother Lynda Mason; brothers Jade Oldham and wife Doreen all of McAlester, OK; David Perkins and wife Sharon of Vicenza, Italy; sister Toni Perkins of McAlester, OK; grandchildren Kailey Wilson, Kyler Carey, Laynie and Lillee McDowell, Dominic Malone, Chelsea Beard, Audra Fuller, Riley McCarthy, Lincoln Charles, Micco Keaka Lavelle, Kash Lavelle and great granddaughter Alivia Dawn Emmaline Malone. \r\n\r\nMelody was preceded in death by her father Earon "Tommy" Oldham; grandparents Vernon Moore, Lois Moore, Earon "Bud" Oldham and Ruby Oldham. \r\n\r\nA celebration of life will be held in First Baptist Church of McAlester at 2pm on Saturday, July 10th, 2021. Dinner will be held downstairs following the service. Her celebration will be live streamed on Facebook for those that are unable to attend. This is not a funeral but a celebration; she was so vibrant in life and loved flowers so please feel free to wear colors or floral prints.
