Michael Dwayne David, Sr. was born on July 30, 1970 in Tulsa, OK to Ira William David and Anita Louise David (Barlow). He passed away on October 31, 2021.

His survivors include his wife, Cheryl Marie Whitetree-David; son, Michael David, Jr and wife Melissa Tugmon; daughter, Kayla David-Lasseter and husband Jordan Lasseter; grandchidren, Michael David III, Dimitri Lasseter, Kailan Lasseter, Richard Tugmon, and Alyssa Myers; one brother, Joey David and wife Carlie Moore-David; two nephews, Jacob David, and Joey Devon David; niece, Tessie David; two great nieces, Izaray David and Danika David; and a great nephew, Jacolby David.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Jean and Pauline Barlow, his grandparents, Jack and Rachel David, and his sister Adrienne David.

Michael attended Rogers High School in Tulsa, and went on to earn his Bachelors degree at OSU. After college he became an entrepreneur and continued to coach football. As we like to say he never met a stranger. When he started talking by the first couple of minutes your were best friends and knew his whole life story. Michael was a complete football guru, if you didn't know football, you would by the end of the conversation. He liked to collect sports cards, and enjoyed playing madden games with his nephews and grandson. He loved spending time with his family and adored his grand kids, great nieces and nephews. He treated everyone like they were his own family and would help them better their lives.

Michael was a father figure to many young boys and made sure they were able to attend football camps and many other activities. He spent countless hours helping them with college visits and recruitment, compiling football videos and making sure each boy had every opportunity available to him.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Living Hope Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs, OK.
