Mildred "Millie" May Warwick Obituary (1945 - 2022)

Millie Warwick, 76, entered into her Eternal Rest in the Arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on February 19th, 2022 Millie was born on October 9th, 1945, to A.L. and Florence Duke in Kirksville, Missouri. Millie grew up in Port Neches, Beaumont, and Winnie Texas. After attending East Chambers High School in Winnie, Millie graduated from Bentonville (Arkansas) High School in 1963. Millie attended Barber College and became the first female Roffler Men's Hairstylist in the state of Texas. She would go on to compete in and win numerous awards in men's hairstyling. While working at Mason's Men's Hairstyling Salon, in Port Arthur, Texas, Millie met the love of her life, Dave Warwick in 1966. She and Dave were married on April 1st,1968, in Houston, Texas. They shared nearly 54 years very happy years together. In August of 1980, Millie, along with Dave and their two sons, moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, later making their home in Sand Springs. Millie was very active in her church having taught at School of Life Bible School nearly 10 years and had a heart for ministry. She spent several years ministering to the women at the Turley Women's Correctional Facility. She never missed an opportunity to share God's love or pray for someone. Millie loved her family and cherished their time spent together. Millie was preceded in death by her parents, A.L. and Florence Duke and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins. Survivors include her loving husband, Dave. Two sons, David, and wife Lisa, and Chris and wife Traci. Eight grandchildren, Makayla (Ian), Caitlin (Jacoby), Chance, Emma, Caden, Sierra, Kristina, and Jake and one great-grandson, Tassen. Interment with be in Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery (1200 N Cleveland Ave., Sand Springs, OK) with services provided by Dillon Funeral Service. Funeral conducted by Pastor James Johnson of Glory Refuge Church. Pallbearers will be Terry Wilson, Steve Nelson, Felix Wearstler and Scooter.
