On Thursday, Feb 6, 2020 Norma Jean Rice passed away peacefully at the age of 82 with her daughters by her side. She was born on May 8,1937 in Antlers Oklahoma to Eula Jane and Jessie Johnson. She had 4 siblings; Mary, Marlene, Jimmy and Johnny. Norma married Donald Stewart and had 4 children; Donna, Janie, Chris and Michelle. She worked at St. John's Medical Center and Hillcrest Medical Center as a Nursing Assistant. She loved the Sisters and the patients that she cared for. The Sisters would often send her notes about how much she was appreciated. \r\n\r\nLater in life, Norma married Edwin James Rice and retired from Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital Behavioral Health as a psych technician. Her work was very meaningful to her. Some of her interests included crocheting, gardening, and flower planting, playing games, fishing and camping, short drives and outings with her family and going to Walmart. Norma was known for her quick wit, laughter and sly smile. She was an avid dog lover leaving behind her 4 legged companion Charlie. She also enjoyed the Bible and singing songs about the Lord. \r\n\r\nNorma was proceeded in death by her husband, mother and father, her only son, Chris Stewart, and her four siblings. She is survived by her daughter Donna and Husband Tommy, daughters Janie and Michelle, 3 grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives. She will be greatly missed. \r\n\r\nMemorial Service will be on Wednesday, Feb 19, 2020 1pm at Sinnett Cemetery.
