Paula Dodson

Paula Sue Dodson was born November 17th, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ralph David and Golda (Beller) Davis. She passed away after a long illness in her home with family all around on July 26th, 2023.

After graduating from Charles Page High School in 1964, Paula started working at Hissom Memorial Center in Sand Springs for several years. During that time, she married the love of her life, Paul Dodson in April of 1974. She owned Davis Grocery with her husband and served the Keystone area. They attended church with their daughter Shelley Adams at Trinity Baptist Church in Prattville for many years. Paula taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and served in many other areas.

In the summer of 2004, Paula bought ABC & Me Day School where she taught and loved many children and their families in the Berryhill community. She operated and owned the day school until the summer of 2022.

Survivors include her beloved daughter Shelley Adams and her husband Larry Adams, two granddaughters and their husbands; Abigail Heidler and husband Dillon and granddaughter Emily Glenn and husband Nick, two great-grandchildren whom she adored, Haven Renee and Hayes Henry Heidler; one sister Mary Houston and husband Errol Houston of Mannford.

In addition to her husband, Paul Dodson, who passed away in January of 2022, she was also preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Golda Davis of Sand Springs.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 31st, 2023 at Church on the Move on 41st West Ave, Sand Springs with Chuck Burton officiating. Services are under the direction of Dillon Funeral Service.
