Raymond Ellis, age 81 of Sapulpa, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at his home.\r\r\n\r\r\nRaymond was born on October 29, 1933 in Missouri to James Wood and Mary Samantha (VanBuren) Ellis. He graduated high school in Parsons, Kansas and went to Oklahoma Christian College when it was in Bartlesville. He married Mary Ann Wilson on November 19, 1955 in Parsons, Kansas. The couple made their home in Independence, Kansas where Raymond worked for the Katy Rail Road. The family then moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma in 1965 while Raymond worked for Sinclair Oil until 1969. He then started work for American Airlines where he was employed for the next 30 years working as a Systems Analyst. Raymond loved cars, WoodWorking and painting homes as a side job.\r\r\n\r\r\nHe is survived by his two daughters; Cindy Byford and husband Mark of Broken Arrow and Suzanne Downey and husband Larry of Tulsa, sister; Lucille Ellis of Cherryvale, Kansas, four grandchildren; Luke Byford and wife Emily of Fort Worth, Texas, Matthew Byford of Houston, Texas, Calvin Downey of Tulsa, Clay Downey of Tulsa and two great-grandchild Lydia Byford and Evelyn Byford both of Fort Worth, Texas. Also surviving Raymond are two nephews; Larry Ellis of Claremore and Dick Ellis of Seneca, Missouri, niece; Janet Nesvold of Seneca, Missouri, numerous other great-nieces and nephews.\r\r\n\r\r\nRaymond was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Ann Ellis (11/11/12).\r\r\n\r\r\n\r\r\nIn lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to South Tulsa Baptist Church Music Ministry c/o Phillip Stevens, 10310 S.
