Richard 'Rick' Vance Morgan, age 63 of Tulsa, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his home.\r\r\n\r\r\nRick was born to J.C. 'Jake' and Lillamae (Friebe) Morgan on November 21, 1949 in Big String, Texas. The family later moved to the Sand Springs area where Rick graduated from Charles Page High School in 1968. Rick went to St. Gregory's Junior College and then went to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and graduated with bachelors in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Rick attended Tulsa Junior College and got a certificate as a Registered Nurse. He worked for the American Red Cross for a while then worked for Hillcrest Medical Center for more than thirty-five years in various departments before continuing on at OSU. He also was a flight nurse for many years and was talented at doing the most stressful jobs; he worked in the emergency room, the burn center and Children's Medical Center. Rick was adventuresome. He loved the outdoors and made sure his kids and grand-kids knew how to camp, hike and swim. He helped with Meals on Wheels that supplies food to the home bound and Rick had a big heart for people.\r\r\n\r\r\nHe is survived by his son, Jeffrey Morgan of Tulsa; a daughter, Andrea Rahy Morgan of Atlanta; Georgia, five brothers, Mike Morgan and wife Kathy of Plano, Texas; Bill Morgan and wife Sarah of Rockport, Texas; Don Morgan and wife Cindy of Sand Springs; Tom Morgan and wife Brenda of Sand Springs; Jim Morgan and wife Deborah of Tulsa; a sister, Sera Morgan and life partner Cayo Gambler of Tacoma Park, Maryland; also surviving Rick, are two grandchildren Devon Jeffrey Morgan and Tara Rodriquez and a great-grandchild Kennasyn.\r\r\n\r\r\nPreceded in death by his father J.C. 'Jake' Morgan.
