The life of Rickey Dean McGee began March 1, 1959 in the city of Wichita, KS. His new adoptive parents, Leonard and Imogene McGee, joyfully received their new son and reared him to be "A Man's Man," as his brother-in-law Paul E. Garrison remembers. The McGee's often stated that he was a loving child who brought them great happiness and was the complete fulfillment of their desire to have a son. Later his parents preceded him in death.\r\r\n\r\r\nBy the Grace of God, The Year 2000 ushered in a new union between his biological mother, Edith Brown to her beloved son. It was evident that the bond of love between mother and son was an unbroken cord, blessed, very strong and unfaltering. She had longed to be reunited with her son.\r\r\nIn 1977, Rick, age 18 was introduced to Cathy Bernice High, age 15 at the "Toronado Shelter" on Peoria. He could not get her off of his mind, so he went through the neighborhood, door-to-door until he found her friend who took him to her doorstep. They met, fell in love, became inseparable, married and had a handsome son named Rickey Lee McGee. She described him as very unselfish, a great provider, always sweet and loving to her and the family. He was known to persevere and "GET-ER-DONE!"\r\r\n\r\r\nRick's life work included excellence as a twenty-year Journeyman Electrician, oftentimes giving free service to those in need of help. He was a longtime member of the IBEW LOCAL 584 Union. He enjoyed watching Jimmy Johnson compete in NASCAR races, driving his Red Chevy Truck, collecting, buying and selling guns, riding motorcycles and playing with his two dogs, Lucy and Patches. \r\r\n\r\r\nAlong with his beloved wife, son and mother, he leaves to cherish his memory a Sister, Vicky Kendall, Brothers, Jeff and Lance Ragland, Mother-In-Law, Thelma Mayo, Brother-In-Law, Curtis Battenfield, Brother-In-Law, Paul E.
