Robbie Maxville Obituary (1943 - 2024)

We are gathered here today, not to mourn, but to celebrate the vibrant and inspiring life of Robbie Maxville. Born on June 22, 1943, to Leroy and Robbie Sewell in Hartford, Arkansas, Robbie's life was one marked by adventure, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to her family and career. Robbie's adventurous spirit first took flight when she and her family relocated to Ardmore, Oklahoma. This spirit truly soared later in life as she traveled the world with her beloved late husband, exploring the wonders of Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Every journey they embarked on left them richer with experiences and memories. As St. Augustine once said, "The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page." Robbie was an avid reader of this global book, each chapter infusing her life with greater depth and meaning. Robbie was not only an explorer of the world but also of the human spirit. Her dedication was evident in her 20-year tenure as a passport clerk for the Tulsa County Courthouse. She served her community with diligence and integrity until her retirement in 2010. Robbie was also a loving mother to her son, Timothy Wallace Maxville, a doting grandmother to Saige and Timothy Maxville, and a cherished sister to Sandy Prather and Phillip Sewell. As a breast cancer survivor, she embodied strength and resilience, inspiring all around her. Her love for gardening and cooking brought warmth to her home, while her fondness for shopping, watching movies and TV sitcoms, and attending her grandchildren's extracurricular activities, brought joy to her life. Always at the heart of her family, she found her greatest happiness in their company. As Maya Angelou beautifully expressed, "I sustain myself with the love of family." Robbie is survived by her son, Timothy Wallace Maxville and wife, Heather; her grandchildren; Saige and Timothy Maxville; her sister, Sandy Prather and husband, James; her brother, Phillip Sewell, and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Maxville and her parents, Leroy and Robbie Sewell. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, 6:00 pm CDT at the Legacy Chapel at Dillon Funeral Service, Sand Springs, OK followed by the funeral service on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10:00 am CDT. Burial will take place at 11:00 am CDT at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery, Sand Springs, OK.
