Roger Lee Harris

Roger Lee Harris, age 74 of Sand Springs, passed from this life on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa.

Roger was born on October 1, 1939 in Greensboro, North Carolina to John Lewis and Verona (Keck) Harris. He attended school in North Carolina and moved to Cushing, Oklahoma in 1958. Roger married Wanda Sue Harris on July 3, 1959 in Tulsa. The couple made their home in the Tulsa area until Wanda's death on October 20, 2011. Roger worked for Flint Steel as a Welder and Inspector. He worked on the Tulsa Golden Driller at Expo Square. He worked for Purolator Armored Car Service, which changed names to Loomis, as a Branch Manager. Roger was also a Taxidermist since 1985, working on various animals and would often do work for other Taxidermist.

He is survived by his two sons; Myron Lee Harris and wife Tammy of Sand Springs, Danny Darrell Harris of Anadarko, Oklahoma, four sisters; Francis Lagod of Anchorage, Alaska, Nancy McKinney of La Mirada, California, Carrie Constantino of La Mirada, California, Dorothy Clayton and husband James of Big Cedar, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren; J.C. Harris and wife Megan, Hillary LaNoue and husband Justin, Madison Hibbard and husband Trae, Haylley Harris, Hannah Sue Harris, Alexis Harris, Tyler Christensen and Blake Christensen, and one great grandchild; Fysher Lee Harris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Wife Wanda Sue Harris, Brother George Harris, Sister Barbara Medina, and Sister Marie Phillips.
