Sondra Rae (Tanksley) Mullis, 46, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born in Tulsa on June 10, 1969 to Judith Ann Tanksley, of Broken Arrow, OK and the late Tommy Ray Tanksley. Sondra was a long time Broken Arrow resident and graduated from Broken Arrow Senior High School in 1987. She earned an Associate Degree from Tulsa Junior College in Business Administration. She was employed for 13 years with the Tulsa World and recently was an associate of Wal-Mart. \r\r\n\r\r\nShe was united in marriage to Richard (Rick) Mullis on February 14, 1992 in Miami, OK. \r\r\nSondra was an animal lover, enjoyed cooking, fishing, watching her OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys football as well as devoting time to her family. Sondra had a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and attended church at Hope Worship Center in Tulsa. She was a kind, giving and compassionate woman that was generous with her time and a great listener. Sondra was a great mother, wife, and a great granddaughter. She had the sweetest soul and spirit.\r\r\n\r\r\nIn addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by her son, Shawn Mullis; a sister, Billye Flanary of Broken Arrow; a brother, Robert Gamble and his wife Shirley Ann Gamble of Vanceburg, KY; a stepson, Joey Mullis and his wife Emily Mullis of Jenks, OK; her mother-in-law Barbara Barnett of Sand Springs, OK; her father-in-law, Leon Mullis of Tulsa; and four step grandchildren.
