Tanya Jeanne Cunningham

Tanya Cunningham Tanya Jeanne Cunningham of Skiatook, OK, passed away on May 13, 2019, at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, OK, surrounded by her family. Tanya was born in Tulsa on March 1, 1945, the second daughter to William Howard and Mary Allen Howard. Tanya attended school in Tulsa and began her career as an inhalation therapist, working for various doctors in the field. Later she and her husband Tom began a cleaning business until their retirement. After retirement she and Tom moved to Skiatook where Tanya spent many happy hours gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends. She also had a lifelong love for her horses and rescue dogs and cats. Tanya also worked with the Cub Scouts for many years, and founded the first group of scouts with special needs. Tanya married Tom Cunningham on May 9, 1969, and they just celebrated their Fiftieth anniversary. They were blessed with four sons: Gary, Chad, Carl, and Sam. Tanya was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her grandparents. She is survived by her husband Tom of the home, son Gary of Tenkiller, son Chad of Tulsa, son Carl and wife Megan of Jenks, and son Sam and wife Brandie of Los Angeles, CA. Tanya also is survived by her sister Pam of Midland, TX, grandchildren Liam and Linz, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She lived her life with love and compassion towards all people.
