Terry Lynn McCorkle

Mr. McCorkle was called home on the 4th day of April, 2016.

Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Mannford under the direction of Dillon Funeral Service.

Terry was born on September 14, 1949 in Tulsa, OK. to Leonard McCorkle and Rosetta (Foster) McCorkle. A 1968 graduate of Dominguez High School in Compton, CA. He also attended Compton Jr. College where he became a Welder. On December 3, 1971 he proudly married Shirley Jean Cunningham. Terry was saved, baptized and married at Missionary Baptist Church in Lynnwood, CA. soon after Terry and his wife relocated to Tulsa, OK. with the plans to start a family. He retired as Janitor with Building Operations for the Tulsa County Courthouse. He enjoyed surfing when he was young. Terry won a lot of trophies in dance competitions. He always had a fondness for Hot Rods and music. He was very good at detailing cars. He loved family fish fries and delighted in taking his girls to the lake for the weekends. He also took joy in betting on the ponies. It tickled him always to be in the company of his grandkids. It needs to be said that he missed the one and only love of his life 'Shirley'.

He is survived by his Dad Leonard McCorkle, daughters, Christina, Marcie and son David. His beloved brother and best friend Mike, Niece, Crystal and four, dear, grandchildren and a host of extended family.
