Vance Viles

Vance Viles was born on August 26, 1947 in Warrensburg, Missouri to Charles and Helen Viles. He passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 21, 2025 at the age of 78 years.

After high school, Vance enlisted into the United States Army and served in Wurzburg, Germany. This is where he met his future wife, Ingrid. Vance and Ingrid married, initially moving back to Vance’s hometown before finding their lifelong home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They raised two sons, Marcus and Adam. Sadly, Ingrid passed away in 2023 after a battle with Alzheimer’s.

Vance is survived by his son Marcus Viles, and grandson Ryder of Fort Collins, Colorado; his son Adam Viles and his wife Toni, as well as grandson Carter of Jenks, Oklahoma.

In addition to his wife Ingrid, Vance was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bruce Viles.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 10, 2025 in the chapel of All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa.
