Waleah R. Lofton Obituary (1934 - 2020)

Waleah Roberta Lofton was born in Colcord, Oklahoma, on September 30, 1934, to George and Menona Badger. She passed away peacefully the afternoon of June 23, 2020, after battling many health conditions for a lengthy time. Waleah was the oldest of 5 children born to George and Menona. They lived a very simple life in Colcord until moving to Tulsa. She married and moved to South Carolina where she spent many years and made many friends that were like family. Years later she returned to Oklahoma to spend the rest of her days. She loved spending time with her family and working as a nurse which she did until retirement at the age of 65. When she was able, she attended church; most recently at Garden Heights Free Will Baptist. She loved Jesus! Waleah leaves behind daughter Tammy and her husband David of Broken Arrow; grandson Bradley and wife Michelle along with great grandchildren Wesley and Quinn of Moore; stepson David Lofton of Texas; brother Ralph of Sand Springs; nephews and nieces Mark and Denise, Tracy, Michael and Carol, Molly and Terry, along with great and great-great nephews and nieces. She also leaves behind her wonderful caretaker "family" at Broken Arrow Nursing Home. Waleah was preceded in death by both parents, sisters Oleta and Judith Ann, and brother Jerry. Due to current health concerns, there will be a small immediate family only graveside service at 10AM Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
