Wallace L. Jones, 93 a longtime Sand Springs resident passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Mannford, Oklahoma. Wallace was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a son of Wallace Lee Jones and Carrie Ellen (Fort) Jones. \r\nWallace married the love of his life, Clarice Louise Coates Jones and from this union they raised two sons, Charles Jones and Jay Jones. \r\nWallace was raised in the country and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, loved to fish and would often go watch other fisherman fish below the Keystone Dam. He was also, in the rodeo in his early years and would travel with the rodeo circuit even all the way to California.\r\nHe worked as a flooring mechanic for over forty-five years and after his retirement he loved to go to his kids and grandkids ballgames, enjoyed camping with his family and friends and he especially enjoyed his wife's homemade cooking with his favorite words of Ummmm Ummm Ummm.\r\nWhen anyone asked how he was doing, he would say "Fine as Frog Fuzz".\r\nWallace was survived by his two sons, Charles Jones and wife Jeanette of Mannford, Oklahoma and Jay Jones and wife Pam of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; three brothers, Paul Jones of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Jesse Jones and wife Ruth of Berryhill, Oklahoma, and Forrest Jones of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one sister, Ellen Dobbyns of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and sister-in-law, Jean Jones of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice Jones; parents, Wallace Lee Jones and Carrie Ellen (Fort) Jones; one brother, Ferliegh Jones and one grandson, Chris Jones.\r\nArrangements have been entrusted to Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home in Sand Springs.
