Walter Ingram Robinson, 84, passed from this life on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Dillon Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Woodland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home. \r\r\nWalter was born on November 1, 1931 to Oscar and Bertie (Parks) Robinson in Gore, OK. Walter grew up in Vian, where he attended school. He graduated from Vian High School in 1949. After graduation, Walter took a job in Tulsa. After a couple years working in Tulsa, Walter joined the United States Army. He served his country proudly for four years and serving during the Korean War before being honorably discharged.\r\r\nWalter's passions in his life were family and fishing. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He worked hard to support his family and provide them with everything they needed. When Walter had free time he would often be found on one of his boats. He was an avid fisherman. He fished lakes, ponds, or anything that held fish. When he wasn't able to make it out, he would be in his garage working on his fishing equipment and lures. \r\r\nWalter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.\r\r\nWalter is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, one brother, and one stepdaughter, Starlet Reeder.\r\r\nWalter is survived by his wife, G.T. Trumbly; one son, Steve Robinson; two stepsons, Douglas Trumbly and Sonny Trumbly; one daughter, Debbie Robinson; two adopted daughters, Danielle Ritchie and Deidre Katschke one sister, Betty Neighbors; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.\r\r\n \r\r\nCondolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.dillonfamilyservices.com.
